DÍlI, 07 July 2026 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta received a delegation of volunteers from the Portuguese NGO MOVE today at the Nicolau Lobato Presidential Palace.
During the meeting, the representatives introduced their new team members, who arrived in Timor-Leste five months ago, and expressed their gratitude for the President’s unwavering support since the organization began its operations in the country in 2011.
The representatives provided the Head of State with a detailed update on their current initiatives and growth strategy for the 2025-2026 period.
The discussion focused on MOVE’s ongoing impact on the local community and its commitment to fostering sustainable development through entrepreneurship, highlighting the strong partnership between the NGO and the Timorese Presidency.
To conclude the visit, the volunteers extended a personal invitation to President Ramos-Horta to attend the MOVE Entrepreneur Fair, scheduled for this Saturday, July 11th, in Dili.
The fair is one of the organization’s flagship events, designed to showcase the progress and talent of local entrepreneurs supported by the NGO’s training programs.
