DILI, 03 october 2021 (TATOLI) – In the past 24 hours, Timor-Leste recorded 19 new COVID-19 cases, 97 recoveries, and the active cases dropped 672, Rui Maria de Araujo Coordinator of the Integrated Crisis Management Center (SIJK) says.
According to today’s figure, 11 new cases were detected in Baucau, six in Dili, and two in RAEOA.
Of the 19 new cases, five percent were fully vaccinated citizens, and 26 percent have received at least one dose of the vaccine. These new cases included 12 men and seven women.
Araujo said 16 of the new cases were between the ages of 12 and 59, including three under 20, adding 37.8 percent were symptomatic.
There are 26 people with COVID-19 in hospital and five of those are in critical condition, with one on a ventilator.
In the past 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 107 PCR tests, including three via sentinel surveillance tests, four via random screening, 15 were following the request for travel authorization out of capital Dili, 61 for the international travel authorization and 24 in quarantines.
The SIJK kept calling on communities to practice the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the WHO to continue combating the spread of the virus.
Since Timor-Leste’s outbreak began in April 2020, the country has recorded 19.582 cases, 18.792 recoveries, 118 deaths.
In Timor-Leste, of the 754.864 eligible groups, 60.5 percent had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 37.6 percent have been fully vaccinated.
