DILI, 13 november 2021 (TATOLI) – In the past 24 hours, Timor-Leste recorded no new COVID-19 cases, no recoveries, and the 12 active cases, said Rui Maria de Araujo, the Coordinator of the Integrated Crisis Management Center (SIJK).
There are two people with the mild condition of COVID-19 in hospital.
In the past 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 88 PCR tests, including seven through random screening, and 81 in quarantines.
The SIJK kept calling on communities to practice the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the WHO to continue combating the spread of the virus.
Since Timor-Leste’s outbreak began in april 2020, the country has recorded 19.809 cases, 19.675 recoveries, and 122 deaths.
In Timor-Leste, of the 754.864 adult group, 77.3 percent had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 51.9 percent have been fully vaccinated.
Covid-19 vaccination: Municipality Tracker
At least four municipalities have now fully vaccinated more than 60% of their adult residents. Four of these municipalities – Dili (74.5%), Covalima (63.3%), Viqueque (61.3%) and RAEAO (60.9%).
However, the vaccination rate is low in Ermera and Liquica with 27.9% and 36.2% respectively.
So far, Timor-Leste had received a total of 1.213.279 doses of Covid-19 vaccines, consisting of 1.012.650 doses of AstraZeneca, 100.000 doses of SINOVAC (China), and 100.620 doses of Pfizer vaccines (USA).
Of the 1.012.650 AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines, 100.800 doses were given by COVAX Facility, 24.00 doses from New Zealand, 577.850 does were donated by the government of Australia, 142.000 doses from Portugal, and 168.000 doses were given by the Japanese government.
