GVNH collects more than US$214.808,33 revenue in 2021

DILI, 16 december 2021 (TATOLI) – The Director of Finance and Administration and Logistic of the Guido Valadares of National Hospital (GVNH), Raul  Humberto Gama,  informed that GVNH had collected more than US$214.808,33 in 2021 (January to November).

The US$214.808,33 had been collected from Nursing Unit, VIP room, National Health Laboratory (NHL), Medical Check-Up unit, surgical intensive care unit (SICU), maternity unit, and the medical certificate unit.

“So far, I haven’t identified which unit had been provided more revenue within the year of 2021,” Gama told reporters at the GVNH, on wednesday.

The National Parliament has this week (Tuesday, 14/12) approved the US$11.007.875 of the General State Budget for the Fiscal Year of the national hospital.

Of the approved budget, US$5.992.132 would be allocated for the wages and salaries, US$3.915.956 for goods and services, US$500.000 for minor capital, and US$599.787 for development capital.

“GVNH’s priorities for 2022 are purchasing medical equipment with the US$500.000 minor capital budget,” he said.

He said currently, GVNH has no enough rooms to accommodate patients who need hospitalization: “As you can see, some patients are using the corridors for their hospitalization,”

“Previously, we only have up to 150 patients coming to GVNH daily, but now the number is even higher. Our doctors always attended all the patients well,” he added.

He said GVNH is currently preparing to construct some more spaces to accommodate more patients in the future: “The Ministry of Health (MoH) would cooperate with the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) to contract construction companies to build the new buildings of the GVNH.”
