DILI, 3 january 2022 (TATOLI) – In line with the celebration of the 55th anniversary of World Peace day, Pope Francis appeals to the world leaders to invest in education.

The statement of Pope Francis released on the official website of the Vatican, highlighted Education and Work as the tools for lasting peace in the world, adding that there has been a significant reduction worldwide in funding for education and training In recent years.

“Education and work are primary for the human being. It means promoting integral human development. It makes individuals more free and responsible, and they are essential for the defense and promotion of peace, “The Holiness Pope Francis said in the context of celebrating the 55th anniversary of world peace day on 1 January 2022, in the Vatican, this saturday.

According to Pope, investing in education and training will help create the rightful place in the labor market for the young generation and promote a culture of care and peace.

“Education is the foundation of a cohesive civil society capable of generating hope, prosperity, and progress, therefore the rightful place in the labor market for the younger generation can be helped by investing in the education and training programs. I hope that investment in education will also be accompanied by greater efforts to promote the culture of care and even of peace,” said Pope.

At the same time, Pope that politics is called to play an active role by promoting a fair balance between economic freedom and social justice, therefore all who work in this field, starting with Catholic workers and entrepreneurs, can find sure guidelines in the Church’s social doctrine.
