“Smart Trash Bin” SSTV-IT focuses on advancing and modernize at competition WSA in Malaysia

DILI, 08 february 2022 (TATOLI)- Secondary Vocational Technique, 28 de Novembro Becora (SSTV-IT),   will be focused on improving the quality of more advanced and modern “smart trash Bin”, if appointed to compete for World Skill Asia (WSA), in Malaysia, 2023.

The Head of Secondary Vocational Technique, 28 de Novembro Becora (SSTV-IT), Pedro Da Silva Ximenes said SSTV-IT 28 de novembro Becora still relies on “smart trash” bins for the competition in WSA Malaysia.

“This smart trash bin was made on a creative and innovative idea. That means that if it is wrong to place the rubbish. The “smart trash bin’’ will remind people that it is not right to dispose of the rubbish,” The Head of Secondary Vocational Technique, 28 de novembro Bekora (SSTV-IT), Pedro da Silva Ximenes told TATOLI, at his office, in Becora this tuesday.

He added that however it is correct to put the rubbish into the rubbish bin, the smart trash bin will say, thank you so much.

Besides competition, this product is made to help students more comprehensively to dispose of rubbish in the proper place. It helps human beings to fight against climate change.

This is a combination of teachers’ and students’ ideas. Teachers are working on design  and students are making the product.

“It requires more preparation and maximization of improving the product. SSTV-IT needs more program materials on made “smart trash bin”, which will be controlled by sensor,” He said

Mr. Ximenes emphasized that if there is a second opportunity offered to SSTV-IT 28 de Novembru to participate in WSA’s competition. It is demanding to focus on advancing and modernizing the product.

The “smart trash bin” can be found the items and components in some shops across Dili and even some should import from oversea, especially from neighbor country Indonesia.

To ensure the product is advanced the guidance can also be obtained from youtube. The ideas came up based on requiring Malaysia in first period compilation in 2021.

It is recalled that SSTV-IT, 28, de Novembro participated in a creative and innovative idea in 2021.

It is known that SSTV-IT, 28 de Novembro currently has more than 400 students, which consists of four departments composed of electricity, electronic, Informatics and art-gráfika.

There are 48 staff available working at SSTV-IT school, 45 teachers and three administration staff.  16 are still on contract and 32 others are permanent staff.
