The Government discussed the framework of Annual Budget of 2023

DILI, 04 march 2022 (TATOLI) – The Prime Minister of Timor– Leste Taur Matan Ruak through the Ministry of Finance today held a meeting to discuss the 2023 State Revenue Expenditure Budget (OJE 2023) before being submitted to the National Parliament in may.

General Director of Finance and Planning of the Ministry of Finance, José Alexandre de Carvalho, informed that, this meeting was held on the orientation of the Prime Minister Ruak with the aim of discussing the priority programs and financial regulations for the 2023 State Revenue Expenditure Budget, together with all Ministers before being submitted to the National Parliament.

“The Prime Minister through the Ministry of Finance together with the Ministers held a meeting to share opinions regarding the financial regulations of the 2023 State Revenue Expenditure Budget and priority programs for each ministry before being submitted to the National Parliament in may 2022,” General Director of Finance and Planning told reporters at Auditorium of the Ministry of Finance Aitarak – Laran, Dili this friday.

The General Director explained that the meeting was a preliminary to initiate all opinions in identifying the priority programs and financial regulations to be implemented in accordance with the upcoming 2023 State Revenue Expenditure Budget ‘s program.

“Ministry of Finance has noted the priorities program which is delivered by all Ministers and will elaborate and then conclude to submit to the National Parliament to discuss in the National Parliament in may,’’ General Director Finance and Planning,” Carvalho added.
