Dili Development Company begin the construction of CBD 10

DILI, 17 march 2022 (TATOLI) – Dili Development Company (DDC) Lda, has commenced the construction of its new building called Central Business District (CBD) 10.

Earlier this week, a team of DDC, the owner of Timor-Plaza, made up of Jape Kong Su, the Chairman, accompanied by the Deputy Chairman, Alan Jape, and Managing Director, Tony Jape, met with Prime Minister Ruak to express their interest to support Timor-Leste’s national development.

During the meeting, the team informed Prime Minister Ruak about the ongoing construction of the Central Business District (CBD) 10.

“The CBD 10 is good for tourist attraction,” Jape told reporters after having a meeting with Prime Minister Ruak, in Dili.

The four-story building (CBD 10) consisted of a car park at the first level, while the second would be used for retail and offices. In addition, the upper two levels would be used as a conference facility with the capacity of accommodating up to 1.000 people on the top floor.

CBD 10 offers quality commercial spaces for lease to meet the existing and upcoming local demands.  The total gross floor area is approximately 9.000 sqm.

Each floor will be fitted with public toilets.  The building is also equipped with two elevators in addition to the staircase on each side of the building.  The construction of the CBD is scheduled to take around fifteen months to complete with the opening ceremony is expected to take place around the middle of 2023.

The construction of CBD 10 signifies DDC’s confidence in the country’s economy and further strengthens the path to fully complete the development of Dili Central.

The CBD 10 is also expected to probably employ hundreds of Timorese people in the future.

Dili Development Company was founded by Jape Kong Su, along with his two sons, Alan Jape and Tony Jape.  He has strong confidence in the country’s future and has the vision to put Timor-Leste on the global tourism map.  Their landmark project is located at Timor Plaza, Central Business District in the capital city, Dili.  DDC continues to expand its portfolio with the objective to improve the national economy.
