DILI, 13 may 2022 (TATOLI) – The National Hospital Guido Valadares (HNGV) collected more than US$ 100.000 from offering medical treatment to foreign nationals and local patients from january to february 2022.
Director of the Administration, Finance, and Logistic (AFL) of the HNGV, Raul Humberto Gama said that the US$100.000 was made up of US$20.000 collected from the medical care given to foreign nationals and about US$80.000 from local patients.
“The hospital collected over US$42.700 in january, US$33.000 in february, and around US$24.000 in march,” said Gama in Bidau, Dili.
He said that most foreign patients always visit the hospital for routine general medical checkups.
“The cost of medical treatment varies among diseases which are based on the government’s ministerial diploma,” he stressed.
Gama added that in 2021, Guido Valadares National Hospital (HNGV) generated more than US$238.989 of revenue for the State’s coffer from january to december 2021.
This revenue is made up of the medical cost collected from local patients and foreign nationals.
