DILI, 23 may 2022 (TATOLI)– The organization “Saúde Ba Ema Hotu”, (SABEH) requested the Ministry of Health (MoH) to have good management of the human resources and infrastructure to provide adequate health services for people in remote areas.
“The Minister of Health must improve infrastructure in remote areas in all districts. Following the observation 50% of health facilities across the country do not have complete facilities,” SABEH Director Andre Belo told TATOLI at the SABEH office on Monday.
Another thing that the Ministry of Health should pay attention to is drug accessibility and improvement of the logistics system for drug distribution at all municipal levels.
“This must be done so that people in remote areas can have equal access to health services,” he said.
Currently, TL has sufficient human resources in all regions, but a good management system is needed to allocate human resources based on their origin.
So far, the Ministry of Health has 332 health facilities across the country, but more than 100 health posts do not have adequate health personnel, thus affecting health services in remote areas.
