DILI, 6 june 2022 (TATOLI)– PROEMA provides various training to non-skilled women for four years to improve their skills and knowledge to respond to market demands.

PROEMA Executive Director, Ana Paula Gomes said, from 2018 to 2022 this organization has provided training that focuses on courses in Gastronomy, Administration, Computers, and Decoration.

“We have provided various training for women and even for some men who are willing to take the training, to increase their knowledge in four areas to respond to market demands” PROEMA executive director Ana Paula Gomes told TATOLI at her office in Bidau Lecidere, this Monday.

According to Ms. Gomes, over 400 participants have benefited from their program, and most are focused on improving their skills and knowledge in producing foods by using local nutritional products such as sweet potatoes and banana margins for cake making.

“Local products are rich in nutrients, vitamins, etc., such as sweet potatoes and margin bananas for cake making. These local products contain nutrients that ensure a healthy life for the community,” She said.

Gomes explained this local product is accessed from the local market.

In the same place, Gomes emphasized, PROEMA has also established Solidarity kitchens in five different areas consisting of Hera, Tibar, Tasi Tolu, and two in Maneluama area.

“Our Solidarity Kitchen is used to benefit breastfeeding women, children, and the elderly,”

According to Ms. Gomes, PROMEA was founded and owned by Simone Assis and his wife Ms. Assis. Since PROEMA was founded in 2018 until now, it has received financial support from the New Zealand Embassy, ​​France cooperation, and Empower Aid Australia.
