ALMA  Physiotherapy School has accommodated over 150 disabled children in Timor – Leste

DILI, november 21, 2022 (TATOLI) -The Representative of Asosiasi Lembaga Misionaris Awam (ALMA) Me. Rena, ALMA, said, the ALMA Physiotherapy School had been established in 2010 until now and has accommodated over 150 disabled children in Timor – Leste.

“We opened a special Physiotherapy school for disabled children for trained aimed at getting the same educational rights as other children in Timor – Leste,” Me, Rena, Alma told TATOLI in line with the commemoration of World Children’s Day at the ALMA Congregation in Paintai Kelapa, Dili on tuesday.

Me. Rena added that this year Alma accommodated 18 disabled in the dormitory while attending a physiotherapy school.

“ALMA has 18 disabled children who were accommodated in ALMA Dormitory. They access the same education, All Physiotherapy School curriculum applies the curriculum of the ALMA Physiotherapy Education Center in Indonesia / Malang and mixed with the curriculum in Timor – Leste,” she said.

Me, Rena, and ALMA explained that the ALMA Physiotherapy school and dormitory are not paid because ALMA received donations from the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Inclusion ( MSSI).

“ALMA’s Physiotherapy School including dormitory are not paid because ALMA receives over US$ 20,000 per year from MSSI, to ensure the food needs of the children” she explained.

Alma thanked MSSI for the support given by the MSSI to ensure that No One is Left Behind in Timor – Leste, hopefully, this humanitarian assistance will continue to contribute to national development through the education of physiotherapy in Timor – Leste.
