DILI, 16 january 2023 ( TATOLI) – The Ministry of Education Youth and Sports, ( MoEYS) today starts a new school year for 2023, in all national territories.
The Minister of Educational Youth and Sport, Armindo Maia, said by the opening school year of 2023, all schools in Timor – Leste will commence the activities of the teaching and learning process in the country.
” Today we officially open the school year of 2023 and start from now all schools in the national territory will commence their activities of teaching and learning process in Timor – Leste,” the Minister of Education, Armindo Maia told reporters at the School of SMU UNAMET, Balide Dili on monday.
With the launching of the new academic year, Maia, appealed to all teachers and students to collaborate during the learning process to contribute to the development of country education, because education is the key to national development in Timor – Leste.
” Hope that the school year of 2023 will bring the mutual benefit to each other particularly for the welfare of students through the process of learning in Timor – Leste, ” he said.
At the same place the Director of Education of Dili Municipality, Carlito Soares, calls for the attention of all teachers to prioritize the discipline on the national curriculum from MoEYS to ensure the quality of education in Timor – Leste.
“On behalf of all schools in Timor – Leste calls for heads of schools to control and oriented all teachers to follow in transforming the science and knowledge to our students because, from the quality of teaching, we will ensure the quality of education in Timor -Leste,” he said.
