DILI, 09 february 2023 (TATOLI) – The President of the National Election Commission (CNE), Jose Agustin Belo, today met the Ambassador of Nunciatura Apostolica Santa Se’ Marco Sprizze requested the support of praying and peace to all political parties, national leaders including the population of Timor – Leste to have a sense of peace in the successful parliamentary election in 2023.
“ I meet the Ambassador of Nunciatura Apostolica Santa Se’ Marco Sprizze to discuss the dimension of the 2023 Parliamentary election and in this opportunity, I requested Ambassador Sprizze to pray for the Timor – Leste’s peace in a successful 2023 parliament election without any violence in Timor – Leste,’’ the President of CNE, Agustinho Belo, told reporters at the Embassy of Santa Se’ in Moteal, Dili on thursday.
The President of CNE Belo, added most of the Timorese people are Catholic, therefore he guarantee that Santa Se’ in Timor – Leste, will influence and advise the people in Timor-Leste with support of praying and message for better election and better Timor-Leste.
At the same place the Ambassador of Santa Se’ to Timor – Leste, Marco Sprizze, appreciated this initiative and promise to send a prayer and support morals through the Catholic church in Timor – Leste.
“I hope that everyone must prioritize peace and stability because Timor – Leste has implemented the Human Fraternity, and prioritized the development. Santa Se’ will always support Timor – Leste to success in the 2023 parliamentary election,”
