Zamancartel Behad company handed over 200 items of drugs to the MoH

DILI, 17 March 2023 (TATOLI)– The Malaysian company Zamancartel Behard handed over 200 items of drugs to the Timor-Leste Minister of Health (MoH) and the Timor-Leste Electricity Agency (EDTL).

CEO of ZAMANCARTEL Berhad Company, Intan Safinar M. Safri said that this was the first time that the Zamancartel Behard company visited Timor-Leste intending to donate 200 drugs with different items to the Minister of Health.

“We intend to support the Timorese people with 200 items of medicine produced by the company,” said the CEO of ZAMANCARTEL Berhad Company, Dr. Intan Safinar M. Safri to reporters in the Minister of Health Conference room, Caicoli, this Friday.

Safri said the medicines were produced by the company based on a list of medicines from Timor-Leste.

“Most of these items consist of pain relievers, antibiotics, and also vitamins for children,” he said.

Vice Minister of Health, Bonifácio Maucoli Dos Reis appreciated the companies for their willingness to provide support to help Timorese people.

“We are very pleased that Malaysian companies are donating medicines to help the Timorese people. This support can help the government fight and reduce several diseases in Timor-Leste,” Maucoli said

He emphasized that the Timor-Leste government has the policy to fight infectious diseases but what is most needed is the participation of development partners to provide more donations such as medicines and facilities.

So far, the drugs provided by the Zamancartel Behard company with a total budget of 50 million USD, this amount includes 1,000 units of solar street light.
