DILI, 29 march, 2023 (TATOLI)- President of Republic José Ramos Horta appoints the executive Director of Permatil, Ego Lemos to be the Ambassador of goodwill to attend the international conference for environmental activities that will be held in april, 2023.
Ego Lemos is a famous singer and he is also an environmental activist who is focused on doing cultural activities, music, and art for promoting Timorese identity in the world. He won a grant prize in Australia.
“I will officially appoint Ago Lemos as an ambassador of goodwill to attend the international conference in Australia in April. I am proud to nominate him as the Timorese person who takes responsibility for environmental protection and ecology for “Green economic’’. It aims at the more developing community on strengthening and preserving stream water source,’’ The president of the Republic of Timor-Leste, José Ramos Horta said in a note published on the PR official site, accessed by TATOLI Agency.
The President of the Republic will host the official ceremony for EGO Lemos to become a goodwill ambassador on Environmental and Cultural, before leaving for Australia based on an official invitation from Australia.
“Ego Lemos deserved to be an ambassador of goodwill for Environmental and Cultural because has been working for the environmental for a very long time,” President Horta said
Executive Director of Permatil Ego Lemos is proud of this nomination to become an ambassador of goodwill for Environmental and cultural and will take the opportunity to represent Timor-Leste to attend an international conference in Australia that will be held in April this year.
“I am very grateful and I committed to working on environmental and music issues for a very long time. I am ready to become Ambassador to represent the country of Timor-Leste,’’ Ego Lemos said
Ego Lemos was invited to participate in the permaculture conference and become a principal speaker and also will be leading the choir in the Timorese language for a music tour in Australia in 7 festivals that take part in this diplomacy cultural program.
It is known that Ego Lemos will be accompanied by Izu Gembel. In the opportunity they will hand environmental books titled “The Topical Permaculture Guide Books,’’ and 160 counties are able to access this book on the internet.
