LOSPALOS, 27 april 2023 ( TATOLI)– The Director of Education Ministry of Lautem Municipality Rui Manuel Miranda da Costa, said the Ministry of Education Youth and Sport (MoYES) had constructed 26 new school buildings in the Lautem Municipality.
“New school buildings were built by the Ministry of Education under the Eight Constitutional Government. Of the total number 16 school building had officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak on January 2023 and the other 8 new school buildings are under the construction process,” the Director of Education of Lautem Municipality, Rui da Costa, told TATOLI in his office Lospalos, Vila on thursday.
He said all the projects are categorized as community projects because the 26 school buildings were constructed by the communities and controlled maximally by the engineering from the Minister of Education.
“The Ministry of Education ensures that the quality of school building is of good quality because all the construction was designed and assisted by the Engineering from the Ministry of Education itself,” he said.
Meanwhile, the budget for the construction of each school building is around $ 90,000 to $ 100,000 from the 2022 and 2023 ‘s Annual Budget.
“Hopefully the development of school buildings will ensure the quality of education in Timor – Leste,”
