DILI, 01 august 2023 (TATOLI)- Minister Transportation and Communication (MTC) and APNIC ASEAN Pacific company conducts four days of IPv6 deployment training to introduce Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) for over 30 Timorese participants.
Minister of Transport and Communication, Miguel Marque Manitelo said the objective of the IPv6 training is to introduce the internet IPv6 program to the Timorese people so they can be used for doing work.
“This training is a great contribution to digital infrastructure that is robust and advances for social economic development in this country. In the digital era for connectivity is a function for development progress and adapting advanced technology. It is a principal necessary which is addressing to the digital version,’’ Minister of Transport and Communication, Miguel Marque Manitelo told journalists in Caicoli, Tuesday.
He added that the internet with IPV4 version is now decreased and today APNIC company wishes to share the knowledge of using IPv6 application to Timorese people from various government institutions and some university students.
“Two trainers from the APNIC Asian Pacific region to will introduce the new internet version of IPv6. The training helps Timorese people to acquire more knowledge on the use of the IPv6v version, which is the most modern version.”
APNIC Trainer, Imtiaz Sajid said:” The three days of training will be focused on introducing the training subjects such as IPv6 Protocol Architecture and Standards and IPv6 addressing and address Planning will be given during the first day of training while a second day of training will be giving IPv6 Routing and Dual stack lab, Day 3 will be focused on IPv6 Transition Technologies, IPv6 Deployment Planning, and IPv6 Security issues and last day of training will be focused on Tutorial lessons.”
IPv6 is addressing technology and how to connect to the internet for PCR or any device. Therefore it is required the introduction of an Internet IPv6 version for Timorese members to adapt the IPv6 to strengthen the Internet protocol version.
It is known that the Internet addressing IPv4 which is Internet protocol version 41 is decreasing and Timor-Leste also faced the same challenge wilt other countries.
“APNIC company takes this opportunity to introduce Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) to solve the issue of decreasing (IPv4),” he said.
Meanwhile, the training will be attended by over 30 participants composed of government relevant institutions such as ANC, DNIC TIE Timer, Minister of Finance, Minister of Justice, Public Prosecutor, Mark Center, National Police of Timor-Leste, Criminal Scientific Investigation Police (PCIC) and Commission of Anti-Corruption (CAC) including participants from Academic of several universities in Timor-Leste.
The training is organized by the Minister of Transportation and Communication and the training is responsible by APNIC ASEAN Pacific company starting from August 1 to august 4, 2023.
