DILI, 04 september 2023 (TATOLI)– An Indonesian telecommunications operator company opened a journalistic work competition called “Jornalista Hakerek” with the theme “Inovasaun ba Nasaun” to commemorate 11 years of its existence in Timor-Leste.
“In the celebration of 11 years, we invite journalists in Timor to participate in the competition to enhance writing skills,” Communication and Coordination Manager, Joana Miranda Pereira said in a statement seen by Tatoli.
Joana Miranda Pereira expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the cooperation between all media and Telkomcel so far and hopes to improve cooperation.
“We hope to get positive answers from media colleagues to celebrate Telkomcel’s eleventh anniversary together,” She said.
The invitation letter states several criteria, such as participants must be Timor-Leste journalists and work in national or local media.
Journalistic work, especially in print media, has a minimum of 3,000 characters and online media with 1,500 characters and there is no limit to the news because journalists can work according to their creativity but must be provided with evidence by Telkomel’s judges.
The competition is open from 4 September to 29 September; while the evaluation will be conducted by the judges between October 2 to 5.
“The winner of the competition will be awarded cash with a total of $1,000,”
