Indonesian influencers join President Ramos-Horta to promote DIM 2026

DÍLI, 05 August 2026 (TATOLI) – Ahead of the Dili International Marathon (DIM) 2026, President of the Republic, José Ramos-Horta warmly welcomed a delegation of prominent Indonesian influencers, including Yasmin Ananda, Violeta Putri, and Jenni Ananda.

Invited to amplify this year’s theme, “Love Our Forests and Wildlife,” the creators will use their digital platforms to showcase Timor-Leste’s pristine natural beauty, eco-tourism, and wildlife conservation efforts to a massive regional audience.

During the press briefing, President Ramos-Horta thanked the influencers for their support, emphasizing that their visit helps elevate Timor-Leste’s international profile.

The Head of State noted that the marathon is part of a broader push for regional connectivity this year, which also includes an upcoming cross-border BMW motorcycle tour from Jakarta to Dili and a major summit featuring Nobel Science Laureates.

To further support this growing digital and cultural exchange, the President highlighted the nation’s rapidly developing creative infrastructure and pointed to new, world-class facilities in Dili—such as the modern recording studio established by Raul Lemos—which will soon empower both local and international artists to produce high-quality content directly from Timor-Leste.
