DILI,06 september 2023 ( TATOLI)- The Governor of Lembaga Ketahanan Nasional ( LEMHANNAS) Kupang Indonesia, Andi Widjajanto, said that LEMHANNAS Kupang wishes to develop The National Institute of Defense (IDN) through the capacity building training for officials military and also wishes to conduct the research in the area of geopolitics and national security threaten between Indonesia and Timor – Leste for building the nation together in the future.
” We conduct the courtesy visit and meet with the Minister of Defense of Timor-Leste, Donaciano Pedro Klamar Fuik, to inform the cooperation which will be conducted in 2024. In the meeting we agreed to conduct the capacity building to send the official military to Kupang Indonesia to empower their ability in the area of defense, we also agreed to conduct research in the area of geopolitics, and national security to defend Timor – Leste and Indonesia from the security threaten,” the Governor Kupang, Andi Widjajanto told reporters in the office of the Ministry of Defense, Fatuha Dili on wednesday.
Widjajanto explained this meeting was preliminary therefore all the results meeting will be reported to the President Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and will be implemented in the year 2024.
“We will report the result of the meeting to the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo and all the cooperation will be implemented in 2024,” he said.
At the same place, the Minister of Defense Pedro Klamar Fuik welcomed Governor LEMHANNAS Widjajanto with his delegation for their courtesy visit.
” We appreciated the initiative of LEMHANNAS to the Ministry of Defense to conduct the cooperation in the capacity building for officials military besides that will conduct the research together with LEMHANNAS Kupang in the area of geopolitics and national security in 2024,” said Pedro Klamar Fuik.
Meanwhile, this cooperation will be realized in 2024 with a duration of 25 years coming, With this Cooperation both nations will develop the the defense sector and the other related sectors to ensure the security of both nations.
