Carrier Fuel, Pertamina International open new petrol station in Dili

DILI, 10 october 2023 (TATOLI) – Carrier Fuel, in collaboration with Pertamina International Timor, has opened a new filling station in Metiaut, Dili.

The managing director of Carrier Fuel, Adolfo António Belo “Maumeta”, said that the petrol station cost around US$300,000 to build.

“I’m very happy that finally, as an ex-combatant, I can open a petrol station to help local communities living in the Metiaut area. I want to open the another petrol stations in other areas too,” Belo said in Matiaut, on tuesday.

He said that a convenience store and an ATM machine will also be installed at the petrol station to make things easier for the clients.

Pertamina’s International Director, Beny Harto Wijaya, said that the staff who will be working at the petrol station have received intensive training in order to have basic knowledge on how to provide good service to customers.

He said as the need for petrol is increasing, the installation of this filling station is necessary to help local communities.

The head of the Metiaut village, Mateus Inácio da Costa, was delighted with the opening of the petrol station in his village.

The station sells a litre of diesel at US$$1.30 and a litter of gasoline at US$$1.28.
