Chinese Company Unilumin expresses interest to invest on LED Lightening in TL

DILI, 25 november 2023 (TATOLI) – Chinese Unilumin Group Co., Ltd. expressed interest in investing in LED Lightening in Timor-Leste. 

The commitment was conveyed by the Executive Director of China’s Unilumin Group, Wu Sha, during the signing of an agreement with the Minister of Planning and Strategic Investment, Gastao Francisco de Sousa for the Donation of 100 pieces of LED Solar Powered Street Lighting, at the Timor-Leste International Business Forum 2023, in Dili, on friday (24/11).

This agreement was signed to build a relationship between Unilumin Group and Timor-Leste, in which the company pledged to install 100 pieces of its LED products in the country.

Unilumin Group Co., Ltd. is a professional LED products and solutions supplier and the global supplier of FIBA. Unilumin is dedicated to providing high-quality and high-performance LED full-color displays, LED professional lighting, and urban landscape lighting products as well as solutions for global customers.

Wu Sha, therefore said Unilumin Group can invest in LED in Timor-Leste: “For example, there’s no street light in Atauro island. Because we have the best LED products such as LED Displays and LED Street Lights, I think we can light up the Atauro island and streets in Timor-Leste.”

“We plan to start with the installation of 100 pieces of our LED products to prove the quality of our products,” she said.

Wu Sha emphasized that the President of Unilumin Group has a good relationship with Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Tourism and Environment, Francisco Kalbuadi Lay, adding that there will be more talks to further discuss the investment plan: “After Kalbuadi met with our President, they are now friends.”

Wu Sha said that she would discuss with her company’s board members about their investment plans in Timor-Leste.
