DILI, 06 march 2024 (TATOLI) – The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Timor-Leste, Atipat Rojanapaibulya, presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta, at the Presidential Palace, in Dili.
“Today, Thai’s new ambassador to Timor-Leste presented his credentials to the Head of State to begin his diplomatic mission in Timor-Leste, replacing former ambassador, Ekapol Poolpipat,” said Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Agio Pereira, after the presentation of the credential of the ambassador Rojanapaibulya, today.
During the meeting, Ambassador Rojanapaibulya expressed commitment to work hard during his diplomatic mission in Timor-Leste to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations, with a view to supporting Timor-Leste’s national development.
“Ambassador Rojanapaibulya is committed to working hard to establish bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, agriculture, and the environment, among others,” said Minister Pereira.
It should be remembered that before the former ambassador, Ekapol Poolpipat, left for Thailand, President Horta awarded him the Order of Timor-Leste, in recognition of his remarkable contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
