DILI, 13 march 2024 (TATOLI) – The government of China supported gymnastics facilities for the Timorese Army (F-FDTL), aimed at being used by the Timorese army to ensure a healthy and fit body.
Chief State Major General (F-FDTL), Teniente General Domingos Raul Faluk Rate Laek said the China government has provided a gymnastic facility for the Timorese Army (F-FDTL) to exercise to ensure fitness and a healthy body.
“The equipment is supported by the Chinese Embassy. However, China has been supporting Timor-Leste for a very long time. China has supported military infrastructure, including the headquarters of F-FDTL. China sent 100 Timorese soldiers to study in military academics in its country. They supported cuisine, mobile vehicles, and others,’’ Faluk Rate Laek said on his intervention at the event where the Chinese government handed over gym facilities to the F-FDTL institution.
He added that there is a great relationship between China and Timor-Leste, and we believe the cooperation will be ongoing.
“I would like to express greater gratitude to the Chinese government for offering gym facilities to the Timorese army,’’ he said
In the same venue, the China Embassy, Wang Wenli, said Timor-Leste and China have had excellent bilateral relations until now.
She affirmed that China will continue to support Timor-Leste’s development.
