DILI, 12 june 2024 (TATOLI) – The 1st edition of the Cross-Border Run will take place on july 6th, a sports event organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Timor-Leste which aimed at promoting the culture and tourism of both countries.
Those interested in taking part in the event can register in two ways, either in person or online. For the former, they should go to the Indonesian Embassy in Dili or the Indonesian Embassy Liaison Office in Oé-Cusse by july 3, between 09h00 and 17h00. Meanwhile, the online registration is available at Cross Border Run Online Application. The registration fee is US$15.
The 10K run for both male and female categories will start at 6. am in the border area of Wini, in Nusa Tenggarra Timur, and finish in the Port of Mahata, in Oé-Cusse.
A cultural festival will be also held at the Palaban camp in Oé-Cusse. The event will be sponsored by the Commercial Bank of Indonesia, to mark the opening of its first branch in the region.
