DILI, 05 july 2024 (TATOLI) – Timorese Athlete Felisberto de Deus won the bronze medal in the 5,000 metre run at the 21st edition of the ASEAN University Games, in Surabaya, Indonesia.
“Unfortunately, I finished fourth in the 10,000 metres run, but I’m very proud because I won the third place in the 5,000 metres,” said Felisberto de Deus.
Forty-eight athletes from Timor-Leste took part in various sports at the event, including taekwondo, volleyball, futsal, chess and athletics.
It’s worth remembering that Felisberto de Deus had already won two silver medals, one in the 5,000 metre run and the other in the 10,000 metre at the 2021 Sea Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.
