DILI, 19 july 2024 (TATOLI) – The Secretary of State for Social Communication (SEKOMS), Expedito Dias Ximenes, along with the President of the Timor-Leste’s state-owned TV (RTTL, EP.), José Belo, and the President of Timor-Leste News Agency (TATOLI, IP.), Manuel Pinto met with the President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta to discuss the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be signed with the China Media Group (CMG).
It is expected that the Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the Timor-Leste State Media and CMG during President Horta’s state visit to China in the near future.
In this Memorandum of Understanding, CMG will support RTTL, EP and TATOLI, IP in exchanging content mainly related to the economy, as China is currently a superpower in economic and technological development.
“Thus, this cooperation is important for the development of state media in Timor-Leste,” said in a statement.
