DILI, 30 july 2024 (TATOLI) – JICA Timor-Leste and Fundação Carbon Offset Timor (FCOTI) signed a contract for a household survey.
Through the GCF fund, JICA and its partner NGOs implement CBNRM (Community-Based Sustainable Natural Resources Management) projects to protect natural resources and forests at 72 villages in seven municipalities until 2029.
This survey will provide data and information to understand the behavioral change of the community and the current situation of natural resources and clarify the rigorous impact before and after the implementation.
The data collection work for the impact analysis consists of three main surveys; baseline, midline, and endline surveys.
The midline village survey is planned to be implemented in 2026 and the endline survey will be conducted in 2028.
JICA selected FCOTI as an eligible NGO for implementation of this survey based on their knowledge and experience in the household survey since 2009.
