DILI, 06 august 2024 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic, Jose Ramos Horta met with a delegation from ASEZ, a South Korean student volunteer group, to discuss their ongoing “Earth Recovery Project” in the country.
The meeting centered on ASEZ’s request for presidential endorsement of their environmental initiative, which is currently active in Lautem and Dili municipalities.
The Earth Recovery Project, spearheaded by ASEZ, primarily involves land recovery efforts, including tree planting and plastic waste clean-up activities.
The volunteer group presented their achievements thus far and outlined their plans to expand the project to all municipalities across Timor-Leste, seeking the President’s support for this ambitious goal.
