DILI, 13 november 2024 (TATOLI) – With the support of the Government of Timor-Leste, TradeInvest, Development Partner, International Trade Center (ITC), two National Coffee Companies, MARA MRESA Kafé Lda (Atsabe Organic Coffee), which was the winner of the Export Award in 2019, and Prative Trading Lda participated in China International Import Export (CIIE) 2024, in Shanghai, China.
In addition, the Timor-Leste delegation also participated in important events such as, Global Digital Economy & High-Match Industry Match-making Conference 2024, Belt & Road Business Match Making, 2024 Forum on Trade Digitalization and Cross Border E-Commerce Development , Trade for Women, including a visit to Coffe Industry Park and Alibaba Group in Shanghai.
On this occasion, the Head of the Timor-Leste Delegation led by the Export Promotion Manager of TradeInvest Timor-Leste, Josefina Correa de Araújo was one of the keynote speakers at the Forum on Trade Digitalization and Cross Border E-Commerce Development, presented the attractiveness of Timor-Leste to potential investors who attended the event.
She also disseminated information to potential investors about the role of TradeInvest Timor-Leste and the incentives and benefits offered by the Government, including the processes for applying for a Benefit Declaration or Special Investment and Export Agreement.
“CIIE Expo 2024 in Shanghai offers a unique opportunity for Timor-Leste to showcase its potential with international partners. I encourage all stakeholders to explore partnerships that can harness Timor-Leste’s resources. Together we can establish dynamic trade environment that benefits Timor-Leste and China by enhancing international economic cooperation which is wider,” said the DPE Manager.
