DILI, 27 February 2025 (TATOLI) – The Inspection Team of the CPLP Games, led by Jorge Carvalho, met today with the Prime Minister, Xanana Gusmão.
During the meeting, Jorge Carvalho, accompanied by the Secretary of State for Arts and Culture, Jorge Soares Cristovão, who is responsible for the overall coordination of the event, briefed Prime Minister Gusmão on Timor-Leste’s preparation for the upcoming CPLP Games.
Carvalho said that they discussed upgrading the sports infrastructure for the event with the Prime Minister, including facilities for soccer, volleyball, basketball, taekwondo, karate, and chess.
He explained that the soccer matches will take place at Dili Municipal Stadium, while the taekwondo, karate, and chess competitions will be held at Dili Gymnasium and Dili Convention Centre.
The 12th edition of the CPLP Games is set to take place between 17 and 27 July in Dili.
