DILI, 27 March 2025 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic, José Ramos Horta, congratulated the National Police of Timor-Leste (PNTL), who commemorated the 25th anniversary with the theme “Together We Strengthen the Trust”.
PR Horta in this message asks the PNTL to ensure security in Timor-Leste.
“I congratulate the PNTL Institution, which celebrates its 25th Anniversary this year; it is hoped that PNTL will provide better security to our people and our beloved country,’ President Horta said at the Covalima Municipality Administrative Office during a working visit on Wednesday.
On this occasion, President Horta said this year Prime Minister Gusmão leads the anniversary of PNTL in the Palace Government, Dili.
“I also congratulate the State of Timor-Leste, which has built the existence of the PNTL institution and, during 25 years, has created several units of specialization in ensuring the stability of the country,” he said.
Horta also said during the 25 years, PNTL and the Timor-Leste Defence Force (F-FDTL) have worked well compared with several countries in the world. Ask PNTL to continue their work professionally in ensuring the security and defence in Timor-Leste.
