DILI, 10 december 2025 (TATOLI) – The President of the Republic, J. Ramos-Horta, received a delegation from the Trisakti School of Management (TSM) of Indonesia today at the Presidential Palace, led by the Head of the Global Relations Office, Arton Briyan.
During the cordial meeting, the Head of State shared his strategic vision for the nation’s development, which Briyan described as deeply inspiring. The dialogue reinforced the President’s commitment to advancing the country’s education sector through solid international partnerships and recognized the progress already achieved in Timor-Leste’s academic landscape.
Highlighting the concrete benefits of this cross-border collaboration, the TSM delegation reported that seven Timorese students are currently pursuing their studies in Jakarta on full scholarships offered by the institution. Furthermore, to further support local capacity building, TSM faculty members have been conducting guest lectures at the Institute of Business (IOB), addressing essential topics such as Accounting and Financial Management, representing a significant contribution to international community service and knowledge transfer in Dili.
Looking toward the future, the delegation expressed a strong commitment to expanding their educational presence in Timor-Leste beyond current agreements. Briyan stated that TSM intends to broaden cooperation to include other institutions, such as the National University of Timor Lorosa’e (UNTL), aiming to provide higher quality education and foster stronger, long-lasting academic relations between Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
