DILI, october 2021 (TATOLI) –The Coordinator of the Integrated Crisis Management Center (SIJK) informed, Timor-Leste recorded three new cases, 16 recoveries, and the active dropped to 73, In the past 24 hours.
According to today’s figure, two of the new cases were detected in Dili and one was identified in Viqueque.
Araujo said two of the new cases were symptomatic, adding all of the three cases are vaccinated.
All of the three cases were between the ages of 12 and 59. These new cases include one man and two women.
There are eight people with COVID-19 in hospital and, two of those are in critical condition, which is one on a ventilator.
In the past 24 hours, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) has performed 175 PCR tests, including 19 via random screening, 149 for the international travel authorization, and seven in quarantines.
The SIJK kept calling on communities to practice the health and safety guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and the WHO to continue combating the spread of the virus.
Since Timor-Leste’s outbreak began in April 2020, the country has recorded 19.749 cases, 19.556 recoveries, and 120 deaths.
In Timor-Leste, of the 754.864 eligible groups, 69.6 percent had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, of which 45.0 percent have been fully vaccinated.
