DILI, 07 july 2021 (TATOLI) – Since 2016-2021 the Leprosy Mission has been a permanent donor to AHMDTL, in every year, to donor $10.000 to AHDMTL during this time,” revealed The Director of the Timor-Leste Disabled Eyes Association (AHDMTL), Gaspar Afonso.
“This fund was used to develop a center for training in arts, dance and to develop the creativity of people with eyes disabilities who have talent in doing flower pots, weaving and others,” Said Afonso in Manleuana, to Journalist of TATOLI News Agency on wednesday.
He explained that 14.828 people with eyes disabilities would be trained according to their own creativity.
“From 2016 – 2021, around 5.000 people with eyes disabilities have already benefitted from this program, in this case they are trained to dance, sing, weave, make pots and others according to their respective abilities,” said Afonso.
