DILI, 15 April 2026 (TATOLI) – As the United States entered its second day of a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. military said it had “completely halted economic trade going into and out of Iran by sea.”

While the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues, President Donald Trump on Wednesday hinted at a second round of peace talks with Iran in Islamabad in the coming days, Fox News reported.

Trump also told The New York Times that talks between the U.S. and Iran could restart “in the next two days.

Trump asked The New York Times reporter to remain in Islamabad, where talks were previously held on April 12, saying “something could be happening over the next two days, and we’re more inclined to go there.”

With signals of a second round of negotiations, Trump told Fox News on Wednesday that the war was “close to over.”

South Korea said Wednesday that 26 of its vessels are stuck in the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing blockade, and said it has raised its concerns with Iran, the United States, and Gulf nations, AP reported.

While announcing efforts to secure the safe passage of its vessels out of the strait, South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun told a legislative hearing that his country sees the ceasefire between the United States and Iran as a window to ensure the ships can safely exit the region.
