DILI, 09 fevereiru 2021 (TATOLI)-Ministry of Health reported today an additional six confirmed cases of covid-19, with the total number of recoveries remain the 61.
The newly-reported active cases put the country’s total tally of covid-19 infections at 29. The number of patients who have recovered, meanwhile, is now at 61.
During the Press Conference, The Coordinator of COVID-19, Odete da Silva Viegas said the six new patients where foreign citizens are four females with 34, 45 and 61 years old and male are 53-year-old while the other is 3-year-old boy.
Viegas explained, the six patients five were families, they traveled on january 2021 from Jakarta Indonesia to Kupang with Garuda Airlines and continued with their trip to Atambuat.
They arrived in Timor-Leste on january 30 cross the Batugade Border and they have fulfill the mandatory quarantine in White Sand Metiaut.
Besides the other female was illegally crossing the border with motorbike from Atambua and arriving in Timor-Leste on january 28 through Batugade boder, from Batugade to Dili she was riding a motorbike and directly living with her family in Beto Comoro.
The family then contacted the Vigilian team to bring the person to the mandatory quarantine in Tibar along with 23 passengers.
“Currently the MoH team is working hard to find the motorcycle driver,” she said.
According to Viegas, The patients swab were taking on February 8 and the results were positives.
Following the data recorded from the Health Authority, 19,691 have been tested 19,496 showing negative results while 115 people are waiting for their results.
Currently 491 people are in mandatory quarantine and 7732 people have been completing their 14 days of quarantine.
