Government establish isolation zone and mandatory home confinement in Baucau and Viqueque

DILI, 15 of march 2021 (TATOLI) – The Government of Timor-Leste stablished today isolation zones and mandatory home confinement for the municipalities of Baucau and Viqueque in force until march 29. 

“The Council of Ministers approved the Government’s draft resolutions for the imposition of a sanitary fence and mandatory confinement in the municipalities of Baucau and Viqueque, until March 29,” President for the Council of Minister, Fidelis Magalhães said after the Council Meeting at Ministry of Finance Building, Aitarak Laran Dili.

The official also stated that the rules for imporsing the isolation zone and confinement in the two municipalities are similar to rules imposing across Dili, with the necessary adjustments and adaptations to the reality of these municipalities.

It is recalled that the Integrated Crisis Management Center (CIGC) has already recorded additional six cases of the new coronavirus in Baucau, hence the Government is decided to impose the sanitary fence and mandatory confinement in both municipalities.
