DILI, 18 march 2021 (TATOLI)- Japan’s Government through Japan International Cooperaation Agency (JICA) offers COVID-19 protective equipment to National Hospital of Guido Valarades (HNGV) to support in the COVID-19 response.
The support equipment including the 20 liter of alcohol, 100 milliliter of hand sanitizers totaling of 200pc, 500 milliliter of hand sanitizer 150 pc, 150 boxes of gloves, and 200 boxes of surgical face mask.
“This equipment is aimed to support HNGV, particularly for health profesional in Infectious Prevention Control (IPC), Pharmacy, Nutrition unit Diagnosis and Clinical Support Department,”The head of the HNGV, Sara Maria Xavier told the Journalists on Monday at the HNGV.
She added that, the equipment provided by JICA is part of the continuation of the cooperation between JICA Timor-Leste and HNGV also JICA dispatched ints volunteers to work with Ministry of Health of Timor-Leste in the previous year, thus they know well the situation in the IPC.
HNGV thanked JICA for the supports and asks the health professionals to use this equipment in their daily activities to keep them safe.
