DILI, 24 march, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Qantas flight from Australia landed at the Nicolau Lobato International Airport at 11:28 am, bring 20 Timorese seasonal workers.
Timorese workers attaché from the State Secretariat for Vocational Training and Employment (SEFOPE), Tómas de Araújo Guterres, said the 20 workers returned to Timor-Leste after ended their employment contract.
“Our workers have already ended their contract with the various Australian companies and have asked to return to Timor-Leste. Thus, they are being transported by Qantas Airlines,” Mr Guterres told the journalists at the Dili Airport.
With regards to their arrivals, Mr Guterres said, they will fulfill the 14 days of mandatory confinement, before they are allowed to go home.
