DILI, april 10, 2021 (TATOLI) – After reporting over 90 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday (08/04), Timor-Leste reported yesterday that 61 more people in the country have been tested positive for the deadly virus.
According to the statement from the Coordinator of COVID-19 from the Integrated Center and management crisis (CIGC), Rui Araújo, there are 61 new cases. Of the number 54 are from Dili and the rests are from the municipalities.
He added that the new cases comprising 30 male and 31 females with two have presented the symptoms while the rest are asymptomatic.
The rest of the new cases are found in 3 other municipalities including:
Six (6) cases in Ermera municipality
One (1) in Covalima municipality
One (1) from Bobonaro.
With the new cases, Timor-Leste since March last year has recorded 947 COVID-19 cases, among which 503 are linked to the march 7 community event.
Also, yesterday the Authority reported 45 new recoveries, which increase the country’s total recoveries to 443 As of the time of posting, there have been 1 death directly linked to the coronavirus.
