DILI, 27 april 2021 (TATOLI) – The Ambassador of Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Mohamed Slama Badi bid farewell to the President of Republic, Francisco Guterres Lú Olo, at the Presidential palace, Bairro Pite Dili.
“With honor, I met with the President of Republic, Francisco Guterres Lú Olo since my mission is completed in Timor-Leste. This is an opportunity to confirm the politics between the two countries in the bilateral relationships,” Ambassador Mohamed Slama Badi said.
Mr. Badi said the people from the two countries have good relationships for 11 years since he started his mission in 2010 until today.
“For 11 years I was the Ambassador of the Sahara in Timor-Leste. For that, I want to say that, my presence here I have received different types of supports, support from the then President of the Republic, the Government, and from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation (MNEC) and political parties as well as civil organizations in Timor-Leste, “He said.
Support of solidarity from the State and the Government of Timor-Leste to Sharawi had d helped Sharawi achieved independence. The people of Timor-Leste allow upholding the value and understanding of suffering in the struggle for rights because as a State it has to be believed that from the struggling you will get everything, including independence.
“Now my mission is completed and it is a sadness. Because I have become a part of the people of Timor-Leste who are facing various experiences. Because these people can ensure the values and principles to generate all progress, both in terms of the economy, including the natural disasters faced by the people of Timor-Leste. “he said.
