Leopoldo Maria Soares a vegetable trader in Liquica, said she felt sad because the majority of the vegetable seller in Liquiça borrowing the money from the Bank and other Institution that provide the credit, with the Government enforced lock-down it is hard for them to pay for their loan fees since there is no income for them.
“Most of us who are doing the business of selling the vegetables and the fruits, live on credit from banks, and we did the credit in the last year when the government issued the first State of Emergency regulation, we still feel slightly good, but until now we find it very difficult because many of our bulk buyers outside the municipality had stopped placing our orders and we also have fixed expenses that we need to cover. “she said.
She asked the government, especially the finance ministry, to make a temporary decision on suspending the banks from claiming the payment fee until the end of the State of Emergency.
At the same time, Carlota da Silva as a businesswoman, who made credit at the BNCTL bank, felt sad because for two months of her business there was no income.
“You can see for yourself that all of our vegetables and fruits are spoiled, and we do credit at BNCTL to open a business selling vegetables and fruits, and every month we have to pay for our credit fee, but we only earn $ 1.00 or $ 2.00 within a day, with this kind of money we can’t pay our loan in the bank, and I want to ask the government to hear our complains,” she said
