DILI, 27 may 2021 (TATOLI) – Australian Government through Its Embassy in Dili will provide support to improve the borders management system for the migration post to control the passengers crossing illegally through border area around territories of Timor Leste.
Vice Minister of Interior (MI), Antonio Armindo together with First Secretary Home Affairs Australia, Wanda Sendzimir, discussed the mechanisms to strengthen migration work through an information system. It is to ensure good border management for migration post which has established across national territories.
“We talked about the improvement of the border control service system which will establish next month. this is also including an information management system. This project is financed by the Australian government.” Wanda Sendzimir said in a statement released yesterday.
It is added, the Australian government provides modern service on border system management, as it is improving the system of border control service.
“We are working on affording to provide the improvement for the migration working system and considering it is most important service to responsible for the citizen’s control movement in the border cross line,”said
The International Migration Organization (IOM) is in commitment supporting Migration border equipment management or Migration information system and Data Analysis System (MIDAS), to install the electronic monitoring for the passengers and citizens enter and passing migration posts integrated with national territories.
