DILI, may 31, 2021 (TATOLI) – The Government approved the measures for implementing the declaration of the state of emergency, according to the Presidential Decree no. 35/2021, of May 28, to deal with the covid-19 pandemic.
The information was revealed today by the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidélis Leite Magalhães.
The new state of emergency covers the entire national territory and takes effect between 00:00 am on June 2, 2021, and at 23:59 on July 1, 2021.
There is only one chance in the implementation of the measures of the previous declaration of the state of emergency: “it is stated that individuals with the complete certification of vaccination against covid-19 can move freely throughout the territory, including in the municipalities covered by the imposition of the sanitary fence and home confinement,” Magalhães said today.
He affirmed that the other measures remain, to all the residents in Timor-Leste to maintain a distance of at least one meter, wearing masks, washing hands.
