DILI, 23 june 2021 (TATOLI)- More than 300 children’s and women had been helping by CASA VIDA Timor-Leste (TL) since 2008, revealed CASA VIDA Director, Zipora Cabeças.
“We have received more than 300 children and women. This CASA VIDA is only in Dili but we accept clients from all Municipalities including Oe-Cusse,” said CASA VIDA Director, Zipora Cabeças to TATOLI Journalists in Bidau, this wednesday.
At CASA VIDA children find love and care, counseling and time for healing, medical attention, care during pregnancy and childbirth, support and training to care for their baby and opportunities to go to school or university, undertake vocational training and find work.
CASA VIDA’s Social Services Coordinator, Alzira Pereira said that currently there are 46 clients that CASA VIDA is still stay at that place and which 10 are aged 18 and over.
“The other 10 are young girls who are still pregnant and breastfeeding, for that we must continue to pay more attention to them until the legal process is still ongoing,” explained Alzira.
However, CASA VIDA Timor-Leste (TL) is a social service association and provided Safe House for victims of cases against children and women. This Social service has received more than 300 clients since the association has establishment in 2008 to 2021.
CASA VIDA exists as a dedicated support house to create and guarantee special assistance for young girls between the ages of 0 to 18 years, who come from situations of sexual violence and have been referred by the Ministry of Social Solidarity or other similar institutions.
The CASA VIDA is provided some training for the victim children such as English, computer, Administration, cooking and sewing. Than provide counseling for the victim raising positive thinks and guides to normal life.
