DILI, 01 july 2021 (TATOLI)- East Timor Blind Association (AHDMTL) is subsidized by the Minister of Social Solidarity and Inclusion (MSSI), US$ 50.000 in every year.
The subsidies has received by AHDMTL since 2013. “AHDMTL has received a subsidy of US$ 50.000 since 2013. This subsidy helps AHMDTL to pay the staff, buy stationery, house rent and other necessities,” revealed Gaspar Afonso at the AHDMTL Manleuana Office, Dili to Journalist TATOLI News Agency on thursday.
He explained that the work program that AHDMTL has been carrying out so far consists of 3 important programs, namely Research, Education and Advocacy programs as well as counseling.
With a subsidy of $50,000 this is mostly used to pay office rent of $7,200 per year and the rest money is to pay 13 staff members in AHDMTL including director of AHDMTL.
Because AHDMTL wants this government subsidy to be continued because the motto of MSSI is don’t leave someone behind, said Afonso.
On this occasion, on behalf of AHDMTL, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all MSSI elements who have provided subsidies to AHDMTL so far, said Afonso.
