Cuban doctors have served 250.000 pregnant women in childbirth

DILI, 15 july 2021 TATOLI– From 2003-2021 obstetricians from Cuba had served 250.000 pregnant women who gave birth, reported the National Coordinator of Cuban doctors in Timor-Leste MSc. Dr. Juan Carlos Chaves Godoy.

“250.000 pregnant women have given birth to their children in 12 municipalities including RAEOA, they gave birth to their children safely because it was facilitated by Cuban obstetricians in Timor-Leste,” said Godoy at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, Farol to Journalist of TATOLI News Agency on thursday.

Gordoy explained that the fertilization of the growth of pregnant women must be served properly so that the safety of mothers and children can be controlled effectively because mothers and babies are human resource assets that will contribute to the nation and state in developing Timor-Leste in the future.

On this occasion, he urges pregnant women to go to the nearest health center so that they are routinely checked on the physical condition of their babies so that during childbirth there are no obstacles, said Goday.
