DILI, 21 july 2021 (TATOLI)- The Embassy of New Zealand in Timor-Leste and Rede Feto Organization distribute humanitarian assistance to vulnerable families that affected by natural disaster happen in last April.
The Ambassador of New Zealand, Philip Hewitt said that the aimed of humanitarian response to help victims recovery their life situation affected by devastation floods.
He added that Mr. Hewitt said, New Zealand is happy to help timorese people, who are most suffer on natural disaster.
“New Zealand is on longstanding commitment to help timorese people while face difficult situation, especially on Calamity and covid-19 situation. It is important partnership built by Timor-Leste government and New Zealand Embassy to offer any form of assistance to recovery people life in difficult situation,” the Ambassador of New Zealand told to TATOLI Agency, at Aimutin parish, on 21 July, this wednesday.
The Second Vice President of Rede Feto Council, Gizela de Carvalho said that Rede feto Expresses hugest solidarity for the affected families for disaster natural happen in last April. The objective of this humanitarian support is offering to 400 families in around Timor-Leste territories.
She added that this support is founded by New Zealand Embassy in Timor-Leste to recovery victim’s life condition in short time.
The humanitarian support is composed of foods and nonfoods items and distributing is focused on pregnancy women, bread feeding mother, elder women, abandonee women, disability person and children.
Today this humanitarian support is benefit to 36 vulnerable families in second period and the first period has been offered to 15 families and total for 51 families in Aimutin communities, the ongoing support will distribute soon. It is considered that most of women, elder people and children are suffer during the calamity situation.
The other humanitarian has been distributing in Laclo, laklubar, Tasitolu, Becora and today in Aimutin church. The humanitarian support offered to 150 families in 7 different places in Dili.
The President of Rede Feto, Judith Dias Ximenes said that Thank you so much for the New Zealand Ambassador for the providing fund to purchase foods and nonfood items to distributing to victims of natural disaster.
A breast feeding mother feeding mother, Marta Kaet give the gratitude to the Ambassador of New Zealand in Timor-Leste, Philip Hewitt for the kindhearted. She also thanked to Rede Feto organization and all entities on good cooperation.
